The short answer
Choose Murph
Choose Murph if your question is bigger than a sleep score. Murph talks through your symptoms, routines, workouts, records, and how you actually feel, then turns one decision into a reminder or a later review.
Choose SleepScore
Choose SleepScore if you want tracking without a wearable, nightly scores, guided sleep goals, and a PDF report you can hand to your doctor.
Can Murph and SleepScore work together?
Use SleepScore for the phone-based sensing, the scores, and its guided sleep routine. Bring a result or the doctor report to Murph when you need to weigh it against symptoms, records, routines, or a wider plan. Murph does not import SleepScore results automatically.

Material tradeoffs
- Tracking without a wearable means nothing to wear or charge, but the app only works fully on compatible phones.
- A partner, a pet, the room layout, or an unsupported phone can muddy whose movement is measured and how well.
- Murph cannot fix a phone compatibility gap or measure sleep on its own. It helps only when conversation and the rest of your health are the missing pieces.
Common questions about Murph and SleepScore
What is the main difference between SleepScore and Murph?
SleepScore turns a compatible phone into a no-contact bedroom sensor. Murph does not measure the night at all. It is a private health assistant in messaging that looks at what a sleep result means next to your history and helps you decide what is worth doing next.
How does SleepScore track sleep without a wearable?
SleepScore sends inaudible or near-inaudible sound from the phone's speaker and reads the reflections from your breathing and body movement. Advanced tracking varies by phone model, and it cannot reliably tell two people in the same bed apart.
Can SleepScore diagnose a sleep condition?
No. SleepScore's stages, scores, and risk questionnaires can raise awareness and help a doctor conversation, but they are not a diagnosis. Ongoing insomnia, breathing problems, or heavy daytime sleepiness need a professional evaluation.
