Lower My Resting Heart Rate

Use aerobic training and better recovery to bring your resting heart rate down over time.

A lower resting heart rate often reflects better aerobic fitness and recovery. The most useful approach is steady training, enough recovery, and a trend measured under similar conditions.

A practical plan

  • Build toward three or four easy aerobic sessions each week.
  • Add harder intervals only after the easy work feels sustainable.
  • Keep sleep, hydration, and rest days consistent enough to recover.

How to track progress

Compare a weekly median measured at the same time of day. Also notice whether a familiar pace feels easier.

What to expect

Fitness changes take time. Look for a gradual trend across several weeks, not a dramatic change overnight.

If progress stalls

Check whether training has become inconsistent or recovery has fallen behind before adding more intensity.

A quick note

A sudden change with chest pain, fainting, or severe shortness of breath needs medical attention.

Secure sign in keeps the ordinary methods visible while the provider initializes. A selected method owns the pending state immediately. If hydration discovers an existing session before submission, method actions pause until its linked account is known, then recovery takes priority. Otherwise account completion stays on that production action through the next view.

iMessage workout and compact-table fallback parity

Static Messages preview

Compact table cards

The image fallback keeps a targetless first pending set honest and keeps short workout comparisons and fitting four-column cards in one shared-header table. Genuinely overwide rows use stacked fields with each measured header above its full-width value so contract-limit text cannot collide or clip. The rectangular raster keeps its title and optional supporting text beside the canonical Murph badge, while Messages supplies the outer corner mask. Provider chrome stays concise; the complete semantic fallback remains available as text.

Phone Account Linking

Settings opens the authenticated identity provider directly, with no second Murph confirmation. After verification or an approved account transfer, Murph saves the exact provider-owned result. If Privy already has a verified phone that Murph has not recorded, Settings repairs that projection directly. A declined transfer closes quietly, and a failed save retries without reopening Privy. Existing phone accounts use the same surface for replacement. Support-required conflicts stop retrying and leave one direct email action without putting account identifiers in the message. Privacy-safe lifecycle diagnostics observe these states without changing any rendered state or action.

Expected Signal Card

HRV
↑+10–25%

Heat stress trains the autonomic nervous system, increasing parasympathetic dominance at rest.

Resting HR
↓-3–8 bpm

Repeated heat exposure improves cardiac output efficiency, lowering resting heart rate.

Deep Sleep
↑+15–30%

Core temp drop after sauna triggers deeper slow-wave sleep via thermoregulatory pathways.

Conclusion Card

What worked
↑HRV +15.7% — well above ±4% normal variation.
↑Deep sleep +18.2% — evening timing was key.
What didn't change
→Respiratory rate -2.6% — within normal variation.
Key insights
•Evening sessions drove sleep gains. Morning sessions showed no benefit.
•2–3x/week appears sufficient. Skipping one session had no negative impact.
Recommendations
→Continue sauna 2x/week as maintenance.
→Add cold exposure post-sauna for contrast protocol.
