New features
Feature
Create polls with Murph
Ask Murph to create a native poll in your current iMessage or Telegram conversation, then ask it for the results.
Murph can find polls it created in that conversation. iMessage polls show voter handles and allow multiple choices. Telegram supports anonymous or named voting, uses one choice, and can be closed on request. Ask who voted on a named poll; Telegram totals and voter details reflect the updates Murph has received.
Feature
Talk with Murph on the website
Open Voice to speak with your Murph assistant and hear its answers, with readable captions, mute, and end-call controls.
Your microphone starts only when you choose Start call. Calls count toward your AI usage. Leaving the page ends the call; work Murph has already accepted can finish afterward. Requested reminders arrive through your connected messaging channel, which Murph names when confirming them.
New medical-record imports check supporting dates before adding extracted events to your health history.
If an extracted date is missing or conflicts with its evidence, Murph checks the source again and corrects it when supported. Other valid records keep importing. Dates the source cannot establish stay out of dated summaries, and original documents remain available.
Improvement
Less repeated work when a conversation resumes
Murph can begin responding sooner when it already has the messages needed to resume your conversation.
Startup can reuse messages already fetched when a duplicate wake arrives. Newer messages and uncertain work still get a fresh check. Reply times continue to vary.
Improvement
Answers after a delegated lookup
When you ask Murph to delegate a lookup, it waits for the result before finishing its answer.
Independent saves during onboarding still happen in the background so the conversation can continue. If the lookup cannot finish, Murph explains the blocker.
Improvement
Device imports resume more reliably after updates
Device imports keep their saved progress when a Murph service update interrupts background work.
Unfinished work remains queued for the next run, without repeating imports that were already saved.
Improvement
Less background work when an experiment ends
Murph skips unrelated background work when analyzing and saving experiment results.
Results still use current health evidence. Rechecking an already saved result reuses that result without repeating the analysis.
Improvement
Less setup between messages
Murph can begin responding sooner in established conversations by reusing recent message preparation.
Messages stay encrypted, and each message still checks current access and conversation ownership. New or changed conversations receive fresh preparation. Reply times continue to vary.
Improvement
Less waiting behind background saves
New messages can interrupt a background save so Murph can begin responding sooner.
Work in progress stays available for a later save. A save already being committed finishes safely before the message continues.
Improvement
Less redundant oxygen history
Murph keeps oxygen readings and current analytics without generating the older duplicate set of oxygen statistics.
Untouched older statistics leave default searches and metric queries. Original evidence and records with later revisions remain intact.
Improvement
Personal Patterns checks spread throughout the day
Murph now gives each member a stable daily time for background Personal Patterns checks, reducing the shared midday rush.
Existing default-time checks move to their new slot after any running work finishes, beginning the next local day. Custom times, paused checks, and reminders you schedule keep their timing.

Improvements
Improvement
Fewer pauses in device history imports
Device history imports keep moving through dates with no readings without unnecessary pauses between batches.
Provider retry waits and priority for your conversations still apply. Import time depends on the history available from your device provider.
Improvement
Less startup work between replies
Murph skips unnecessary service initialization when saving conversation progress, reducing startup work that can delay a follow-up.
Background wake scheduling still runs when needed. This reduces one source of delay; network and reply-generation time can still vary.
Improvement
Fewer repeated health insights
Personal Patterns updates check earlier health notes before sharing a finding again.
Findings already covered by a weekly insight or recent conversation are kept quiet, while genuinely new findings remain eligible for an update.
History still checks for late readings, and regular reconciliation remains available to catch updates missed by incoming notifications.
Improvement
Less work before your reply
Murph skips repeated preparation work before responding in individual and group chats.
Reply preparation and runtime startup reuse information already read while checking current permissions.
Improvement
More useful memory in everyday conversations
Murph can carry more of your established preferences and preferred ways of getting help into private conversations.
Regular memory maintenance now shortens wordy memories while preserving their meaning, dates, and exceptions. It can learn explicit preferences for how you want help. Memories are not automatically deleted just because they are old. Existing active memory maintenance picks up the improvement automatically.
Improvement
More direct meal logging
Murph takes fewer unnecessary steps when saving meals and checking a day’s food log.
When a restaurant lookup needs its official website, Murph follows the relevant nutrition link before falling back to an estimate. Your preferences about nutrition numbers still apply.
Improvement
Fewer duplicate device records
Connected-device sync keeps the same source identity when background processing restarts.
Repeated imports continue to refer to the same connected source, reducing duplicate records from unchanged readings. Existing records are preserved.
Improvement
Stronger protection for saved vaults
Murph keeps recent encrypted vault backups available for recovery and rejects replacements missing essential vault metadata.
Recent backups can remain available for up to seven days, subject to existing content-expiry rules. Account deletion still removes them. These protections apply to new backups and do not automatically recover previously missing files.

Improvements
Improvement
Fewer steps from meal log to nutrition card
Murph can save a meal and prepare its daily nutrition summary together, reducing the work before your card is ready.
Meal-history reads also avoid an extra rebuild after new data arrives. Food lookups and missing details can still take additional time, and your number-tracking preferences still apply.
Improvement
More reliable saved vaults
Murph better protects saved vault contents when temporary files change during a backup.
If a file needed for the backup disappears while it is being collected, Murph rejects that backup instead of accepting an incomplete copy. This prevents this failure in new backups; it does not repair an earlier incomplete backup.
Improvement
More reliable follow-up replies
Follow-up messages can reuse a healthy reply connection after a pause in the conversation.
Connection recovery preserves the conversation when a provider connection closes.

Improvements
Improvement
More reliable blood-oxygen imports
Unusable zero readings no longer hold up blood-oxygen imports.
Days containing these readings keep your previously saved complete-day history until usable data arrives.
Improvement
Clearer medical records in Journal
Imported records have clearer summaries, and uncertain import-day dates no longer appear as dated visits.
Related notes and results from the same source report appear together. Clinical records use readable labels, and records without a clinical date no longer appear as visits on the import day. Original source evidence stays in your vault.
Improvement
Device history recovers after empty days
Complete-day device readings can return when your provider supplies valid data after an empty response.
Restored readings continue their existing history, and repeated imports do not add duplicates.
Improvement
A shorter path to your next reply
Murph removes a network round trip before waking up to process your message.
The same account checks run before processing begins. Reply time still depends on the work your message needs.
Improvement
Food search improvements
Food search is more efficient, with the same matches and result order.
Typo handling and the food information shown with each result stay the same.
Improvement
Get Murph from an iMessage card
Murph cards now include the App Store installation option for people who do not have the app.
Install Murph, then return to Messages to open the card with the app.
Improvement
Clearer sleep reports
Sleep reports distinguish short sessions and preliminary estimates from a complete night.
Available short sessions stay visible with their qualifications. They do not count as confirmed overnight sleep or close a missing-night reporting gap.
Improvement
Clearer gaps in shared wearable data
Group reports distinguish missing dates for each wearable and can check recent gaps while you review older data.
One wearable no longer fills another wearable’s missing date. Missing historical records stay unverified, and a refresh request does not imply that a device finished syncing.
Improvement
Less waiting during an active conversation
Murph skips an extra check before picking up your next message when your conversation is already running.
This removes a small delay before processing starts. Reply time still depends on the work your message needs.
What's new in Murph
15 updates shipped in this edition.
Improvements
Improvement
Smoother follow-ups after a short pause
Murph keeps your conversation ready longer, reducing restart delays when you send a follow-up a few minutes later.
A normal conversation stays ready for ten quiet minutes. Pending time-sensitive requests can still trigger earlier processing.
Improvement
Other channels keep moving when iMessage goes quiet
An inactive iMessage conversation no longer pauses scheduled work or email greetings on your other connected channels.
Proactive iMessage outreach still follows its inactivity pause. Your saved preferences and access rules continue to apply on every channel.
Improvement
Retry a sign-in code sooner
You can request a second sign-in code within a minute when the first one does not work out.
Rapid retries that are declined no longer use up the longer per-contact sending allowance.
Improvement
Sign in again to continue an approval
Requesting a phone or email verification code during approval sign-in no longer fails with an internal error.
Use a sign-in method already linked to your account, then continue the passkey steps to confirm your request.
Improvement
Faster replies during scheduled background work
When your message arrives while Murph is starting a scheduled background pass, that pass now picks up your message directly instead of restarting.
This applies to every messaging channel. Accounts with paused AI usage keep their existing background-only behavior.
Improvement
Faster dashboard refreshes
Dashboard refreshes do less unnecessary processing when your history includes wearable data.
Your recorded values and existing sleep-data checks stay the same.
Improvement
Longer trends for shared health data
Existing and new group health-sharing permissions now cover up to 90 days of available daily data.
The metrics you already share use the same rolling window as new permissions: today and the previous 89 days, with no extra history approval. Your metric choices and revocations stay intact. Weekly updates stay focused on their reporting dates, and longer trends use available observations without fetching missing history.
Improvement
Recovery after an interrupted start
Murph can recover when a startup interruption previously left background work repeatedly waiting to restart.
The recovery still waits for the interrupted run to stop safely before starting a replacement.
Improvement
Less waiting before Murph starts typing
Murph skips a redundant round trip before showing its typing indicator and starting provider requests.
Account access is checked when a run starts. Usage limits and message-delivery protections still apply.
Improvement
Clearer hospital and clinic logos
Provider search now shows larger logos on a light background, with room for wide wordmarks.
Logos stay fully visible on phones and larger screens. Providers without a logo still show their initials.
Improvement
More control over medical-record updates
Request daily checks when connecting a supported patient portal, and see when Murph last checked and plans to check again.
Import results are easier to scan, with extra counts under Import details. Ongoing access depends on your portal and the access period you approve. Unsupported connections remain one-time imports. Disconnect stops future imports while keeping saved records; account deletion and health-data consent controls are linked from Medical records.
Improvement
Steadier medical-record imports
Ready results from one medical-record import can now be saved while another import is still processing.
A delayed document no longer holds up ready results from a separate import. Document processing also resumes when Murph continues a conversation after saving its progress. Each import keeps its own retry and recovery state.
Improvement
Less waiting when starting with Murph
New accounts avoid repeated waits while Murph prepares to handle their first conversation.
Setup still completes its required checks before your conversation begins.
Improvement
Complete workspace exports
Ask Murph in a private conversation for your complete workspace, including hidden files, runtime records and conversation history.
The archive preserves your files and folder layout without filtering or changing their contents. The existing approval step still comes before the attachment is sent.
Improvement
Less waiting before replies start
Murph now does less startup work before beginning a reply after an idle period.
Repeated startup checks have been combined while keeping protection against duplicate replies.

New features
Feature
Ask for a graph and get a picture
Ask Murph for a graph, chart, or trend line, such as how everyone's sleep has moved over the past week, and it draws one as an image and sends it to the chat.
Charts default to Murph’s cream, slate, and sage palette with clear labels. Murph repeats the key numbers in text because a drawn chart is a picture rather than an exact readout. Image generation follows the usual plan limits.
Improvements
Improvement
Weight history keeps making progress
Murph can import available weight history while a connected provider is still finishing its historical sync.
Pending history no longer creates a new waiting job each day. Murph keeps checking for new data and retries unfinished history without treating it as complete.
Improvement
One unreadable recording no longer holds up a device sync
When a single device reading, such as an ECG recording, cannot be matched to its data, Murph now skips that reading and keeps importing the rest of the day.
The skipped reading is fetched again on the next scheduled sync instead of stopping the whole connection after repeated retries. Nothing partial is recorded for it in the meantime.
Improvement
Less waiting after sending an attachment
Murph can start working with a downloaded photo or file while its backup finishes in the background.
This reduces the wait after sending attachments through Telegram or iMessage, including when backup storage is slow.
Improvement
Asking Murph in a group chat still gets an answer when a friend replies at the same moment
When you ask Murph something by name in a group and someone else replies to a different person seconds later, Murph now answers your request instead of going quiet.
Murph still stays out of the way when the later message is only people talking to each other and nobody asked it anything, and it stays quiet if you say never mind before it replies.
Improvement
Update an older approval passkey without leaving the request
Eligible accounts with an older approval setup can add a Murph passkey directly from the Approve button.
You may be asked to sign in again with a verified method already linked to your account. After saving the passkey, confirm the original request separately. Existing Murph passkeys are not replaced by this flow.
Improvement
Keep incomplete device imports pending
Blood-oxygen and ECG imports that fail data validation can keep checking for corrected device data instead of stopping after a few retries.
Checks run every 30 minutes while the connection remains active. Previously saved data stays intact, and incomplete readings are not treated as a successful import.
Improvement
Medical record imports save results from more patient portals
Lab results, notes, vitals, and documents now import from portals whose records use long identifiers or leave out a last-updated time.
Records without a last-updated time are ordered by when Murph retrieved them, so a newer import replaces an older one and repeating the same import changes nothing. Document downloads and the facts Murph extracts from them follow the same rule. If an earlier import saved only source evidence, reconnect the portal to save its results.
Murph can keep handling follow-up messages in an active conversation even when a background status check is out of date.
This improvement applies to private conversations and group chats.
Improvement
Automatic device sync can recover after getting stuck
Connected health data can resume automatic syncing when an earlier background check leaves it overdue.
Recovery preserves existing retries and your current device-connection settings.
Improvement
Keep queued messages together
Background device sync no longer splits compatible queued messages into separate replies.
Murph can answer consecutive messages together while keeping separate conversations and replies to different messages distinct.
Improvement
Less waiting when you start a conversation
Murph skips an extra check before responding when your message arrives during background work.
This improvement applies to established private conversations and group chats.
Improvement
Less waiting when a conversation resumes
Murph can get to your next message sooner when a conversation starts back up.
This reduces startup waiting in private conversations and groups. The time needed to think through a reply still varies.
Improvement
Device reconnection keeps syncing
Reconnecting a health source can start fresh sync work while earlier history is still importing.
Existing history progress and scheduled retries are preserved.
Improvement
Scheduled device sync handles larger batches
When many connected devices are due for a sync check, more can start in the same scheduled batch.
Device permissions and retry behavior stay the same. Checks still run in limited groups to control background load.
Improvement
Faster recovery when a reply gets stuck
Murph starts recovering sooner when an OpenAI response stops sending data.
Longer reasoning and tool work can still continue. This change does not set a time limit for receiving a finished reply or change custom inference settings.
Improvement
Keep conversations moving
Follow-up messages keep their priority when Murph switches from background updates to your conversation.
Routine background saves wait for a quiet moment and yield when another message arrives.
Improvement
Clearer nightly sleep in groups
Sleep sessions marked as naps no longer count as a reported night in shared sleep totals, stages, or timing.
Naps remain in your personal records. When your main sleep arrives, the next shared-data refresh can fill the missing night.
Improvement
Less waiting across your dashboard
Dashboard pages skip unnecessary account setup recovery. Biomarkers loads its list from a compact index, and Settings, Connect, and Records skip unused health-data downloads.
Newly verified phone numbers keep their setup recovery. Health-data pages check your current access when you return.
Large device imports can process more queued work before pausing to save progress.
Background sync gets a longer bounded work window, reducing save-and-resume overhead. Messages and due reminders keep their existing priority, and unfinished imports remain resumable.
Improvement
Find your medical-record provider faster
Hospital and clinic matches now appear as you type, with recognizable provider logos and a simpler connection page.
Search by name, city, or ZIP code, then authorize access on your provider’s patient portal. Eligible imports also include outside-record clinical notes when shared by the provider. Available records depend on the provider and the permissions you grant.
Improvement
Less waiting before replies
Murph can get to work on incoming messages sooner.
This improvement applies to private conversations and group chats.
Improvement
A more accurate message count
The homepage message total now excludes live messages from our automated messaging checks.
Ordinary conversations continue to count across supported channels. Previously saved daily totals are unchanged.
Improvement
Upcoming plans help Murph stay relevant
One morning check updates Journal and brings useful travel and life context into private conversations and reminders.
Active calendar and email connections participate without an extra setup step, while opt-outs and disconnections remain respected. Murph can suggest practical preparations when an upcoming plan matters to your question, even if you do not mention it. Plan corrections and all-day dates carry through to private context, and expired plans drop out. Journal updates and follow-ups remain, and your reminder schedules and experiment plans stay under your control.
Improvement
Less waiting when saving workout sets
Saving and refreshing workout cards in Messages no longer rebuilds unrelated health-data views.
Murph still checks that the card matches your workout and protects against applying the same save twice.
